Janubio Salt Pans 

This is all that remains of a once island wide thriving salt industry. Seawater is pumped into large open air pans and left to dry out in the sun. Once dry, the salt is harvested.

The saltpans can provide some interesting colours as they dry out.

To be honest, I would not make a special trip to see the saltpans. They can be seen in passing en route to other attractions, not least Los Hervideros.
